Anthony Colpo Kicks Some Ass!
Posted on December 16th, 2011 by Jeff Thiboutot M.S.

Anthony Colpo is one of those people that gives me hope for the
continued existence of the human race. Seriously, this guy has
repeatedly demonstrated that he can think critically and logically, a
habit that is often missing or deficient in many people. This dismal
state of poor thinking is not obligatory but is often the default
setting. Read more »

Think Rationally - Lose More Weight
Posted on November 17th, 2011 by Matt Schoeneberger

While watching a video of 1%er Peter Schiff at the Occupy Wall Street
movement, I was reminded how few people seem to possess the skills
necessary to have a calm, rational thought process about many topics.
Politics is one of these topics. Weight loss is another.
Let's discuss a few scenarios where rational and flexible thinking can
help weight loss. Read more »

How Often Should I Check My Weight?
Posted on November 12th, 2011 by Jeff Thiboutot M.S.

Checking your weight is one type of self-monitoring, which falls under
the umbrella of Self-Regulation theory of behavior (Bandura). Other
common self-monitoring variables include tracking daily calorie intake,
activity levels, blood pressure, and sleep patterns. The question at
hand is if checking your weight regularly will help with the weight
loss process as well as help with maintaining a healthy weight. Read

Anthony Colpo on MAD and Fat Loss
Posted on November 6th, 2011 by Matt Schoeneberger

Anthony Colpo writes some great, evidence-based articles on his blog.
His most recent, as of today, is a relatively quick piece about the
supposed metabolic advantage of low carb diets, the real benefit to low
carb diets, and a quick quib about what it really takes to lose a
substantial amount of fat.

My favorite few words:

"In other words, find a dietary and exercise regimen that allows you to
maintain the required calorie deficit and stick with it so you can
reach your desired weight."

If I haven't written that exact sentence over the past 2 year (someone
read through all my posts and let me know), I should have. There is
some fat loss gold right there.

How the Hell do I Break This Weight Loss Plateau?
Posted on November 1st, 2011 by Matt Schoeneberger

Does this sound familiar?

"I started a paleo/low carb/low fat/vegan diet and it worked for a
while. Then, for some reason it stopped working. I hit a plateau and
didn't loose [sic] any weight for 6 weeks."

This is fairly common, so if this sounds like something you've been
through or something you're going through right now, don't feel alone.
Let's talk about what's going on. Read more »

5 Minute Meal
Posted on October 28th, 2011 by Jeff Thiboutot M.S.

Here is a quick and tasty (well I think it is) meal. It should take a
max of 5 minutes to put all of the ingredients together and heat it up.

I mixed the soup and chicken in a glass bowl, microwaved it for about 2
minutes, then added the butter and flax meal.

A Review of White Bean Extract for Weight Loss
Posted on October 14th, 2011 by Matt Schoeneberger

These are the questions you should ask yourself when you want to know
if a supplement is worth taking:

Is it safe?

Does it work?

Do its effects justify its cost?

(Modified for brevity from SPEED)

I'll first give you the answers to these 3 questions in regard to white
bean extract (Phaseolus vulgaris extract), and then I'll tell you how I
came to these conclusions. Read more »

The potential problems with the Biggest Loser and other weight loss
competitions
Posted on October 11th, 2011 by Jeff Thiboutot M.S.

The 12^th season of the Biggest Loser show started a couple of weeks
ago. There is no doubt that this "reality" show is popular and that
most of the competitors have lost a lot of weight during the season.
That's all great. The popularity of the Biggest Loser has lead to many
spin-offs and has likely increased the use of weight loss competitions
(at work, local gyms, community centers, websites dedicated to this,
etc) to "motivate" people to lose weight. But is this the type of
situation really helping with the weight problem? What are the
long-term ramifications of these types of competitions? Do they lead to
a real change in behavior and an ability to keep the weight off? Read

The zorgium specific results appear in the right hand margin.

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:

Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of http://bing.com, http://yahoo.com or http://google.com.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
